About

The "Phygital Food" Project (Phygital being a mixture of 'physical' and 'digital') initiative taps into the innovative digital realm of Web3 , NFTs, and Spatial Computing to tackle pressing issues like hunger and the lack of clean drinking water in the physical world. Drawing inspiration from philanthropic social media influencers, the project utilizes "Phygital Food NFTs" as a cornerstone to ensure donations are transparent and reach those in dire need. By leveraging blockchain technology, each contribution through NFT sales is traceable, guaranteeing that support is delivered directly and effectively. Although the challenge of eliminating global hunger is vast, the initiative's focused efforts on providing nutritious meals represent a crucial step towards alleviating food insecurity. The project is ambitious, aiming to extend its reach beyond meals to other derivative projects that include providing essential life aids like heating, clothing, addiction counseling, employment and temporary housing; signaling a holistic approach to supporting individuals in overcoming the barriers to a stable life.

Importantly, while the "Phygital Food" project operates with the integrity and transparency of a nonprofit, it does not hold official 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, nor plans to pursue it, allowing for fluidity of operations to adjust to the ever-changing landscape of Web3. However, the team prioritizes openness about financial transactions and budget allocations, making all records accessible on the website. This transparency assures donors that their contributions are being utilized exactly as intended, fostering trust and accountability. The initiative stands out in the crowded space of NFT projects by rejecting quick-profit strategies and instead committing to genuine, long-lasting community support. This approach not only ensures that each contribution has a meaningful impact but also cultivates a community of partners and supporters united by a shared vision of making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing adversity.

Expanding its fundraising efforts, The Phygital Food Project also helps organize Virtual Charity Benefits hosted by its parent company the RMU Foundation, and featuring live virtual performances and digital auctions to engage the community and raise additional funds to be used for our donation videos. These events provide a unique blend of entertainment and philanthropy, allowing participants to contribute to a noble cause while having fun in a digital world, enjoying performances from various artists and bidding on digital artworks. This innovative fundraising strategy enhances the project's ability to support its mission, offering a dynamic and interactive way for the global community to come together in support of those in need. Through these efforts, "Phygital Food" not only provides immediate assistance in the form of meals and essential supplies but also fosters a sense of collective responsibility and hope, illustrating the profound impact of solidarity and compassion in addressing humanitarian challenges.

Over the course of their life, xBohiti has seen many hardships including living with a disability: Rheumatoid Arthritis which prevents them from working a normal job, leading to financial struggles and even periods of homelessness. And as a result, xBohiti is trying to use the technology they have learned about to make a difference in the lives of others going through similar or worse struggles in life. Many people are in a bad situation by no fault of their own and they deserve to know that someone out there cares enough to help them; and so, the Full Plate Project (later renamed to The Phygital Food Project) was created.
